I was just in the Givers & Needers swap, and my wonderful giver Spotnik sent me about 2 yards, probably more, of gorgeous green brocade.  I think it's silk (haven't tested it yet), a really lovely emerald with a dragon motif.

I have no idea what to do with it.  I thought that an eye mask would make a nice little project, but I can't very well make 8 dozen eye masks.  This fabric is so pretty, I want to do something nice with it.

What do you all do with brocade?

A lounge robe with matching eye mask would be superb for lazy days off.

A fitted jacket with long or 3/4 sleeves would be an elegant addition to any outfit.

I second the fitted jacket idea. Corsets also look great with brocade as the outside/fashion layer.

If I got that fabric, I'd probably make a necktie out of it for my little boy.   I have made 2 others out if similar material, and while they look fantastic, it was pretty pricey! Good luck!

I have vintage smurf sheets and do embroidery and stenciling...wanna swap?
