I am new here my name is Tiffany!  I love to cross stitch!  I have recently bought a patternt off etsy and now I want to get the computer program that makes any image into a cross stitch pattern.  What program do you guys use?  Does it figure out what colors of floss to use?

Thanks a ton,
Tiff and Skrat the ferret

I have fooled around a bit in http://www.pcstitch.com/. It's a really good program. A lot of designers use it.

I still prefer the old pen and paper method. Smiley  Grin

Someone posted a thread about a free downloadable one they made here:

And there are a couple I linked to in this thread:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=298149.msg3399919#msg3399919

This is another downloadable program:  http://www.iktsoft.net/kgchart-en/

Hopefully one or more of those will work for you.  Grin

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

I use the Hobbyware Pattern Maker Profession Version. It is a tad expensive but I have been using Hobbyware program for 16 years. I got an upgrade last year.....since I bought from them before it cost me 1/2 price!! Smiley
