How to seprate a bed

So Im trying to treat my new bedroom as a really small studio aparment since I want to be able to have friends over and dont want to feel like im living in just a bedroom. My problem is I want to be able to have my bed (a futon that will be used as a couch by day) able to be seprated at bedtime. Its totally just my nerotic brain insisting on this. How would you reccomend doing this? Pics to come.

Could you hang a curtain rod on the ceiling and have the curtain "open" during the day and close it around the bed at night? I would want the separation too. Good luck!

How would you reccomend I hang the curtains? I have distoyer sisters who dont get what STAY THE #$@# out means

Attach a curtain rod to the ceiling? Or maybe a clothesline all the way from the wall by the bed to the wall with the light purple door clearance?

There are some bed that are transformable to sofa. Have you tried using like that?

im curently stuck with my futon. someday, I will get the click clack of my dreams!

   You could use your storage cubes as a wall and place your futon away from your work space and the cubes behind it creating a small social space and private room away from the other area.
   As others have said curtains hanging from the ceiling is a useful way to make it feel seperate as well. Place brackets on the ceiling and hang them down so you can put a curtain rod inside the brackets then hang the curtains off the rods. If you want to try another way you can hang things is off an Ikea type tension wire.

When I lived at home many, many years ago, my parents made my bedroom look like an apartment for me.  I had a couch that made down into a bed at nights, coffee table, end table, lamp. I put an old dresser in the closet which keep my stuff organized.  Just use your imagination, and you can do the same.  I just loved my room.
