I juuuuust ran across this a bit too late, but love the idea. Havent yet honed my steampunk style, some things I love and others not so much, so I look forward to keeping an eye on this and seeing how the pieces form to fit certain people. Exciting!

Yes I am one of those who sign up at the last minute.  I was not gonna join, but I have no will power!  

I personally think everyone who swaps should have a wist or some other wish list online for their partners to stalk.  I find I can better identify with my partners if they have something visual for me to attach to and they are happier with their package.  If I can not see what their likes are, then I feel like I am grasping for floating toothpicks in the dark and just get lucky if I happen to hit on something they really like.  I personally overdo my wist sometimes though.

We actually made a Perry the Platypus cake last weekend for my sister's and my cousin's family birthday party (she turned 15, he turned 7) and she wanted another one for her party with her friends!

I have now stalked and reached out to all of my partners.  I am excited to start ... but alas, I have to finish up another swap first.  BUT ... I already know what I am gonna do, I think, so I have a couple sketches (really rough ones) done up so I do not forget what I wanna do.

Hey, just checking in with everyone, its been really quiet around here! I went to the antique store yesterday, completely intending to get some stuff for this swap, but instead walked out of there with a really old lantern, a fake phone/liquor cabinet/music box (you'd have to see it to really get it), and two old painted canvas tavern type signs! ... I really need to get more focused. I guess that just means I'll have to go again!
