I knew I wanted to make my entry out of paper and when I read more I instantly thought of inchies. But then I measured how my plan would turn out and it would have been HUGE! So instead I divided them into quarters. In hindsight, inchies would have been way easier than these small wee things, but I'm finished...all 602 tiny squares! Wee! Cheesy

Big Mama head Cheesy

I wanted to represent several of the crafts that Mama does, and here is how it turned out

Close up of Mama

The crafty background with all the crafty nick-knacks

Making the quarter inch 'pixels' in the various colours...

Cutting and inking the edges...

All the designs drawn on and all ready to assemble...

Planning the background...

This project was so much fun! Thanks for looking!

Extremely amazing! I love how much work you put into this, and that each "quinchi" has its own design on it!

So if these are each a half inch square, does that make them bigger than a square centimeter? My metric is rusty...2.54 cm to an inch? I should just cut an inchie up and measure it lol.

Yeah, they're about a cm I guess. As you can see by some of the squares, I'm never that precise with my cutting. I guess it gives them character Wink Cheesy

What a fun way to pixalate!  I love how you took that project and still made it into your style---a closeup of each of the little squares reveals another surprise design...simply fine workmanship and a great idea that turned this into one of my favorites!

I like the choice of paper that you used, instead of using plain colored sheets.  Also, it's awesome that you didn't just create Mama, but a collage of craftiness to go along with it!  Splitting the paper after where the scissors "cut" it is a great idea.
