Here's some quick pictures of my finished sculpture if anyone is interested taken by cell phone - better quality photos will be forthcoming when I can set up a better picture taking situation

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks, and what kind of "message" if any you get out of it. The assignment was supposed to be more concept based anything we've done previously, and I'm curious if you get out of it what I did as I was making it  Wink

Regardless, I love it  Grin My bf thinks I'm really weird but what can I say  Cheesy

I love it! Is the concept about base materialism of modern society? The syringe amps up the "base" part, so if that's not the direction you were intending to go with it at all you might remove it.

That's awesome, sheep! I love how it's still pose-able even with all that stuff on it.

Based on the raven with the bead in it's mouth, I'd go with something along the lines of a collector of found objects. "One person's junk is another person's treasure" kind of thing. So I would assume you are the person/raven in that sculpture and you are made up of all the stuff you've collected that others have discarded or deemed unusable. Not sure what to make about the placement of the syringe... unless of course you're saying you've got a "pain the a$$."  Grin

Wow, attack of the whimsies!  Grin There was a scene in one of the Superman movies where someone becomes magnetized and all kinds of metal things start attaching to them until you couldn't see the person at all, and it scared me terribly at the time (I haven't seen it since); so that was my first thought, not necessarily an interpretation, per se.  Smiley I feel like I get it, but I'm hesitant to try articulating it since I could be entirely off or fail to explain properly. Well done!

Very cool Sheep!!  Smiley

Love those mitts Zelda!  Thanks so much for the pattern.  I'll have to try it for my nieces.  If it works I'd love to make you a pair...but there are probably better knitters that can do it in their sleep.

Tomorrow is Lana's Halloween party.  I'm all psyched for tomorrow.  I'm the team captain.  Haha.  Hopefully I can get John's costume done in time.

I like it, sheepBlue!  Smiley

I just saw this video that I thought the spinners here would like. My innate clumsiness and my kitty cat prevent me from trying this, but how fun!
