I was making some earrings for a swap and was so in love with the real tapers I was making that I decided to tackle some for myself as well. Not having gauged ears myself I made them by inserting the earring findings into the clay before baking and sealed with gloss glaze after. Without further ado 6 pictures of the side of my face:

green and teal "candy cane":

glow in the dark spiral:

my personal favorites, green spiral with pink flower:

or maybe these are my favorite, party earrings for sure!

curvy gold and silver drop fakes:

red and black "candy cane"

6 pair of fakes/ the whole bunch:

Well thanks for looking, questions/comments/suggestions welcome!

Ummmm "spiral?" Admit it, that second one is a penis! Albeit with spiral testicles.

These are very cool. I don't have gauged ears either, but those earrings always look so neat.

My favorite is the first one. It looks like a drippy ear infection! Are you worried it will break? How heavy are these?

Sorry, but the second one is a little *cough* phallic...

I really like the way you've done these. Are they heavy?

Those are awesome, I love those kind of earrings Smiley

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw penis earrings!

haha phallic indeed  Shocked ...i honestly didn't notice that (freudian craft-slip i guess) and i wore them around all day today...the picture doesn't show but the front-face-side of the second pair has a spiral, on the *ahem* head so in real life i guess they are slightly less phallic.  anyway, they are not very heavy at all, about like a normal pair of dangly earrings and once baked they are pretty sturdy, i would have to go around bashing my ear into things in order to break them (i think).

thanks for the comments, phallic or not i'm really enjoying wearing them Cheesy
