What were you last year?

I was a deer. I made my antlers out of model magic, and then painted them with acrylic.

I am thinking about being Belletrix Lestrange this year. Mostly because I want to give myself a henna dark mark tattoo.

What are your ideas?

I might be a bear, but i'm a bit iffy at the moment..
here's my idea sketch-y thing.:

I just don't want to to look like a big sack or baggy pajamas,
but don't want to do a dress because I don't wear dresses.

My 3yr old wants to be a parrot, I need a costume for me that 'matches' in some way.  Any ideas?   Nothing too dorky!  I have an adult halloween party to attend, but also stuff with kids like 'Boo at the Zoo' (My son won the costume contest there last year with the outfit I made him!)

Pirate is the best route here- Our entire family did the pirate theme last year and made our wee one our lil' parrot- it fit perfectly too since she repeats everything anyone says!!! heheh... I carried her on m,y shoulders for quite a bit too- so she was my parrot on my shoulder Wink hehe

I think pirate is the most obvious, but you could be a bird watcher too. Or like, on safari.

I love that bear costume idea, it looks like it will turn out really cute.

I plan on going as an escaped asylum patient with head trauma.  Since I'm working at a haunted house this year, they let me craft my own costume, and I've already made the mask for it.  I'll be posting pics once its complete, but it's a bit of a challenge to work with considering it has the illusion of my head being completely wrapped up in bloody bandages.

As far as a costume to match a parrot, you can always go as a monkey, or a family of parrots ^_^  Pirates or another bird are good choices, but maybe repeating what the other parrot says will prove interesting in a group.

And the bear costume looks adorable as well ^_^

We all have a cute, creepy, and/or downright scary monster deep inside of us.  Don't be afraid to let it out!

Me! I need an idea.  Can't be scary tho' as have to wear it to a toddlers Halloween party I'm organising.  Will prob be the only adult dressed up (brits aren't too in to Halloween).
So need something easy-ish to make and that little ones will find amusing.
Suggestions extremely welcome!
TIA
Allyson
