AWESOME tute!  Grin  I actually made some homemade circular needles using wooden dowels and weed eater line in high school, so I really enjoyed seeing the weed eater line!  However, mine didn't turn out nearly as good as your's did.  Cheesy

I love you. Seriously. You are my hero, and I am so excited to go home today and make me some circs. When my gramma passed away a few years ago, she had 2 full sets of Boye interchangeable needles, but the cables had gotten sorta...funky over the years. The metal ends are perfectly useable though and now i shall have 2 brand new sets of circs and OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG''

I've always heard that dipping circs in boiling or near-boiling water for a short time would remove the Z. (I'll save this very clear tute in case boiling water doesn't work.)
I haven't yet bought a Boye circ set.
This weekend maybe - or I'm going to leave a 50% off coupon with a Christmas gift suggestion note someplace prominent. (A Michaels store just opened locally which is why I have 50% off the $99 needle price.)

This is awesome. I was so stoked when I got that boye set of needles, but hated the case upon first glance. I had to make myself a new case and now I might have to make some new cables.  Grin

Do these stay attached to the needles better than the original ones?

I love personal swaps, I currently need art (paintings or something to hang on a wall) but I'd be up for anything.

This is awesome! I was thinking about buying that set but decided not to because I was worried about needing different sizes. But now that I know I can make my own cables any size I want, I'm definitely reconsidering. Yay!
