OK I hope this goes here since its made out of a jacket. So I have a wedding this weekend of a lifelong friend and I actually bought a dress for it. I am not a skirt girl, I don't think they look right on me. Well I needed a nice small purse to go with it and the only clutch I own was one of my moms from the 70's, completely awesome but didn't got with the style of the dress.
I had recently helped my aunt pack up a bunch of old clothes that her kids had outgrown and fell in love with this jacket.
Beautiful material and loved the beads.Had no clue what I was going to do with it at the time but I had to have it. I know it looks blue but its actually a lovely dark purple.
I was going to go all out with this, lining(which Ive never done) and a magnetic snap(also never done before)
I am stupid proud of how it turned out.
I used the lapel for the flap and I love how it still looks like a lapel.
A closer look at the beads. I'm so happy that I didn't have to actually do all that beadwork.
I used the lining from the jacket for the lining of the clutch. I have never done lining before so I imagine it could have been done better but I like how it turned out.
The snap was actually incredibly easy. I will definitely be doing more of them in the future.
I was so happy with how it turned out that I had to go over to my moms and show her after I finished it at 2 in the morning.
Thanks for looking C&C welcome. I will try and get an action shot this weekend at the wedding.
