You know, I actually finished my hoop today... and then I decided I hated it. So now I am starting a new one, one that will involve lots and lots of satin stitching. What am I doing to myself? Haha, and what should I do with the first piece of fabric with embroidery now?

CraftyOctober, I understand your plight of the satin stitch. I have only used that stitch so far and I'm about 5 hours in, and so many more to go! I'm really enjoying it though. This is my first time swapping/ working on a big hoop. It's really awesome that everyone can post about their progress! This is so much fun... I think I might be an addict now Tongue

I couldn't find it at any local stores either, so I ordered mine while I was getting some other things.  Lots of places to choose from Smiley

Update- I've got most of one hoop done (international partner that I'll probably send first since it'll take longer to get there), and sketched out the other.

I use a colonial knot instead of a french knot.  I think it is easier to make.

I have heard that Thread Heaven is wonderful, but haven't tried it yet.  I may have to get some.

Oh my, the lorax hoop is awesome! It's my mr's favourite book to read to our little one!

I'm about half way through my first hoop, and hopeful I might have it finished tonight!
