Polite Mechanics by WitchWhoWalksWithoutFeet
Polite Mechanics.
This film a project by some of my friends, a chance for all off us to show off and making something really impressive together. I was told it the setting was... like if Blade Runner and Frank Sinatra had a baby. LOl Everything is made from up cycled materials. Bed sheets, reconstructed clothes, we even gutter a typewriter to make the jewelery. You can view the original design sketches, and the whole creation process @ my blog http://plaid-boots.livejournal.com/

The actors like the costumes so much they want to continue with the character I created, and do a series of Polite Mechanics films. I had sooo much fun making these, Hope you like them!!

I like these very much, especially that you made them from thrifted and scavenged items!

Thank you everyone for yoru compliments! I worked so hard on these! I'm so glad their well recieved.

Ninjanator- I didn't make my boots, but their falling apart and I don't know what I'm going to do about it lol. They where really cheap, so i'm thinking of cutting off the tops parts and making them spats to wear over other boots cuze, man, plaid boots are just way to cool! LOL

Starduck- thanks! I was pretty much given creative freedom to create the characters and their personalities as i created the costumes. Where I didn't write the script, i did give the writer my ideas, as well as help the actors get into their characters by explain what kind of person the clothes reflect. WHY they are wearing what they are wearing, and what it means to their character.

Ludi- It's my specialty. I am a wiz are upcycling anything into something new and fun. plus, it costs soooo much less. LOL Why i didn't do this sooner, I have no earthly Idea.

Dra- Ribbon was my masterwork of this. All of her costume that is gray is made from one skirt. It fit her like a glove, and where she couldn't sit down, she loved wearing it.
