Hi everyone. I've been unregistered and looking through all these charity ideas and I'm surprised no one was thinking of rescued wildlife so I signed up and here I am ^_^

I stumbled upon this website http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/nest.html with images of crochet nests in use and it would also be good to see someone making patterns for pouches for orphaned baby animals and such. I'm a newbie to crochet so I'm trying lol. Also I will be making some pet beds for my local shelter soon and might put some pictures up when I've finished.

OH OH! Has anyone else here had a pet that carries a teddy? I've had a dog and now have a cat that carries his teddy around with him everywhere. (Although he does freaky things like lay flat like a pancake or on his head.....and he tries to steal the beer) A simple two piece teddy for sheltered animals might be a nice present also.

Its a good idea, i wonder if we can do a little bit crochet little amigurumi's and sell them for some charity fund raising thingy like we use to do back in school. Save the wild life!! but how?? and what exactly to do.

Thank you so much for posting this!!!! I didn't know that they use knitted/crocheted nests. I have so much scrap yarn that will be perfect so hopefully I can make a bunch for them. I've rehabilitated a couple of bunnies, squirrels, and birds, these must keep the heat in much better than the blanket and hay I used. Can't wait to get started!

My cat used to carry around a little stuffed cow when he was a kitten but now he prefers a paintbrush:)
