Last year we had a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party for my daughter.  We came up with some pretty good ideas that I thought I'd share - as original ideas were hard to come across at the time.  We used a TON of foam paper, drew the pictures and then cut them out.  I had vases around the house filled with colored rocks (for fishtanks) and then stuck Seussical flowers in them.  For those, I found glittery, cottony balls at Hobby Lobby and hot glued them onto pipe cleaners.  

The cake was a 6 person, 4 hour creation (none of us are bakers) - but it came out pretty awesome.  We made it a costume party, and even those who didn't want to buy costumes participated by wearing crazy colored wigs or just wore brightly colored clothes.  My husband found a red tshirt and wrote Thing #1 in permanent marker, and made one for our daughter with Thing #2.  By the end of the night, there were #8 Things.  =)

Fantastic Smiley looks like great fun. I bet your cat enjoyed themself - lots of crazy stuff to play with.  That cake looks so yummy.

I'm going to do this for my baby's 2nd birthday and I hadn't had any good ideas.  I love all the colors and wacky shapes.  Great idea!
