I've been thinking about working on some canvases that I will make from stretcher bars. I'm pretty new to all this, and I'm just wondering what is the best way to hang these on the wall?  That is probably a stupid question, but I wasn't having much luck with a google search.

I know I could outfit it with some loops and wire, but I was wondering if brackets would work or no?  I'd like it to hang flush with the wall, so I'm not even sure if that's possible with anything but wire.  I've been so busy here, I haven't had a chance to make it to hardware store and just look.  Figured I'd ask the pros what they recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to read this ridiculous question.

Quick phone call to a friend, and...

He says that when he hangs shows in the local galleries (a couple of schools he teaches at, and a couple of artists' associations) he uses the wire.

Thanks for doing that, Confuzzle!

I was looking at brackets because I thought it might be easier for me to do, haha.

Wire is really easy, art supply stores would be able to help you too. they'll have specific materials too.
