I am alive!! and awake..and yes Polkadots he is now the exBF...lovely guy and all that but we were just not right. I prefer to end things sooner rather than limping along.

but sleep and rest was what was needed, its baking (all no carb stuff, my diet is going well!) and crafting today. And the sun is shining and I am about to sit down and address and write all my cards and put them in the mail tomorrow on the way to work. I will be sitting down with a no-carb, sugar free (no baddies to sweeten it) cookie and a huge cup of tea!

Ladyblades hope that the laundry isnt too onerous and that your basement is now as dry as the sahara.

i've done one large, one medium and one small, and i used the time-it-takes-to-make-them guide, rather than physical size.
i've so enjoyed making my items!

I am planning on doing my first ritual for Samhain.  I've been kinda nervous, i guess, to do one before now.  Maybe I thought I would mess something up?  IDK, but anyway, my question is....

What do you think of doing a simple candle ritual?  What is the best way to venture into doing your own rituals?  Oh, and do you cast a circle everytime you work magic?

you can't get it wrong, so don't worry! just do what feels right, and try to keep your mind quiet and focussed.
casting a circle is a good way to focus your energy and your attention even if you don't feel you need the protection of a sacred space.

I tend to cast a circle every time, but I don't necessarily think you "have" to. I just do because it feels right for me and helps me bring my mind to what's in front of me.

I hardly ever cast a Circle unless I'm doing some formal ritual workings. For a simple candle ritual I agree that it would be up to personal preference.
