I got this severed foot Halloween decoration and decided to turn it into a nightlight for the Dexter swap.  An exacto knife and hot glue gun later and viola! This was taken with the lights off!

Don't think night light bulbs get that hot. Smiley This is creepily cute. I kinda want a zombie room now.

Won't the plastic melt?

I cut a hole in the ankle that faces the wall for easy access to change the bulb and to give it more air and more room for the heat to escape.  Don't think nightlights get too hot though.

Very Cool! I saw the severed legs at a store around here and was trying to think of what one could do with them lol.

You could also get a LED night light if you're worried about heat. LED's are bright, and give off almost no heat at all.

Bwahaha... replace it after they go to bed one night, wait for them to get up to use the bathroom and you hear the scream when their bleary eyes finally focus on what it is... BRILLIANT!!

Awesome!  I wonder if iParty stocks severed limbs year-round; my zombie-loving friend's birthday is the 25th, and I think he'd love something like this.

I love this and now that Dollar Tree has severed limbs and night lights in-stock, I thought to try this.  I told DH the idea and he said "fire hazard."  So has anyone who has done this had any problems?

I made another one for a friend of mine and they have had no problems with it.

Here are pics of the hole for the nightlight and one to show the position of where the light is on the plastic
