I claim zilamonster for a nerdy Kindle case!

Hi!  I'm Tandra, checking in from Baltimore, MD.  I'm 21, a college senior and this is my second round of OWS, so I'm really excited.  I write (duh) in addition to crocheting, and I'm learning to sew.  I dabble in papercrafts now and then, too.

I'm engaged to a wonderful guy and currently planning our Princess Bride-themed wedding.  When I'm not at school, the two of us live in northwest PA with my family, which happens to include my mom, 18-year-old sister, my baby brother, four dogs, and my beloved cat, Oreo.  Obviously, I love animals, domestic and wild, though snakes freak me out.  I've got a weird obsession with owls.  I like all kinds of colors, though blues, greens, browns, grays, and the like tend to be my favorites.  I'm not much for loud stripes or paisley, but damask is gorgeous.  My FH and I are both big geeks and proud of it.  When I'm not in class or goofing off with my partners-in-crime here at school, I work as a writing tutor and all-purpose buttmonkey in my school I.T. department.

Thanks in advance for claiming me!

My wist: www.wists.com/tandra89 (I love surprises!)

Crafts:
--Knit/crochet socks
--Stuffies/plushies/amigurumi (anything Futurama/Star Trek/Mario Bros/Batman)

--A roomy purse in some sort of girly-punk fabric (like skulls with hairbows, etc) this would be for my sister, so just ask me about any fabric
--Body pillow with a colorful cover
--Fun patterned pillowcases to brighten up my dorm room.  Id love an owl print!  Cheesy
--A lightweight kimono robe for me just something more secure to cover up with than a towel, as Im in a dorm without my own bathroom this year
--Handcarved stamps.  There's a lot of examples on my wist.

Supplies:
--Yarn natural fibers especially, and anything from Caron Simply Soft
--Sewing notions/accessories thread, bobbins, elastic, buttons/snaps, zippers, pins
--Good dressmakers shears and pinking shears
--Fusible interfacing, any weight (the sew-in kind is okay, too, if they still make that haha)
--Stitch markers
--Clean used t-shirts and sheets to make rag yarn
--Large crochet hooks (J and up) and an afghan (Tunisian) crochet hook
--Any sewing 101 books/magazines/whatever youd be willing pass on to me

~*About Me*~
I am a 29 year old stay at home mom of three in Baltimore, Maryland.  I have a French Bulldog, an Egyptian Mau and two newly acquired hermit crabs.  My specialty is crafting for children, but I enjoy learning new techniques and making gifts for anyone.  I am participating in this round to start accumulating Christmas presents for family.

~*Allergies*~
Im not a huge fan of smoke, but otherwise, no allergies.

~*Crafts*~

* A really useful diaper bag.  My Kate Spade bag is too rigid and kind of a pain in the butt to use.
* Any kind of Thomas the Tank Engine craft for a three year old (present for 3 y.o. nephew)
* A monster themed art tote for a toddler (I think I have one on my wists)
* Etched snowflake glasses
* Reusable sandwich bags for lunchboxes. Girly or Boyish.  (I have a daughter and a son)
* A big girl wallet for me.  DH is getting tired of me losing my cards, lol
* Something off of my Wists is awesome.  http://www.wists.com/SMLounsbury
*  Freezer paper stenciled shirts for my hubby.  Hes a size medium/large (loves video games/geeky things/thundercats).
* Knitted or crocheted cardigan for DD3.  Size 18 months.
* Handmade soaps.
* Handknit socks.  I have tiny feet.  I think my shoes are a size 6.  Being a stay at home mom, I love to rock funky socks.
* Barrettes for my girls.  We dont have too many, so anything goes.  Harper doesnt have a lot of hair yet, so maybe a headband would be fun for her.  I adore themed barrettes like Holiday, Disney, animals, etc.
* Hair clips for me.  Like an idiot, I cut my bangs a few months ago and instantly hated it.  I am constantly looking for cute barrettes to hold the disaster while it grows out.
*  Feminine dangly earrings (silver metal)
*  Freezer paper stenciled hoodie for my hubby
*  Ballet bag for Olivia (ballet themed)
*  Doll like Martha Stewarts Black Apple doll for my newborn niece.
* DS case for Olivia (hello Kitty would be great)
* DS case for Nicholas (pokemon, batman, etc. would be great)

~*Craft Supplies*~

* Jewelry findings and supplies (Im just starting to attempt this)
* Funky printed fabric.  (cotton, flannel, fleece, whatever)
* Vintage buttons or vintage anything
* Freezer paper

~*Extras*~
* Anything Hello Kitty or Batman
* Candy  (anything; this house is full of candy eaters)

2/0/0

My name is Victoria and I'm a stay at home mom of one little boy, Charlie, who will be two at the end of October. We live in Texas and we have 2 cats and a dog.  I like girly stuff and bright & jewel toned and natural colors.

-Teapot trivet w/ tea cups in bright teal, pink, white & black
-Earring holder to hang on the wall- mesh with dark cherry wood frame OR metal frame in the shape of a bird or tree. (at least 8”x10”, preferably larger because I have a LOT of earrings and I plan on making more)
-Christmas Ornaments: Fire Engine, Mario themed, Batman, Spiderman, Heart, Bird(s), Teapot and/or teacup & saucer.  Preferably not glass- with my 2 year old and 2 cats and a dog, I don’t think it would end well. ; )
-Wallet- the style that I want is on my wist.
- Sturdy Messenger bag with padded back and pockets and adjustable strap.  Like a laptop bag, but it doesn’t have to be THAT big because it’s for my nook and other smaller items.  I would like it in either stabilized cotton or a pretty upholstery fabric- lined of course.  : ) with a button or zip closure- no Velcro please because my hair ALWAYS manages to get stuck in velcro
-French inspired wall art for my guest bedroom.  I’d like something other than the Eiffel tower because I already have a picture of it.  Maybe a café scene or French words or French poodle or whatever else you can come up with. The main colors I’m decorating with are a deep red and black, but dusty rose and light olive green would match too.
-Adjustable collars with bells for my cats- Zoe and Aneyla- I really like the ones that have the buckle like wal-mart shopping carts.
-A fairy, mermaid, historical (Victorian or Renaissance) or Steampunk poppet.
-Tabletop Ironing mat- in bright colors
-Harvest moon pendant
-Big dangly earrings
-Hand puppets - a long-fur monster (in blue or red or lime green) a dragon, a lion, a tiger or a monkey or the Cat in the Hat

Supply List
-Fabric – any kind, shape or size.  I’d really like fat quarters or bigger, but it doesn’t have to be.
-Embroidery patterns- (for hand embroidery) pretty much any.  I’d like teapots, French inspired, Japanese, peacocks, owls/birds or any that you would like to pass along.
-Felting yarn- I’ve always wanted to felt a knitted project but I can’t ever find the right yarn.  I’d  like any bright colors or variegated
-Charms for earrings (sets of two)
-Glass beads
-BUTTONS, especially the ones with the little loop underneath because I want to cover them with fabric- the bigger the better.
-Polymer Clay/Fimo clay
-A poppet making kit

Extras

-Book on how to do Peyote stitch
-Books on how to make earrings
-Any craft magazines: quilting, knitting, sewing or beading/jewelry

I claim mxer145 for wall art (probably, or maybe something wisty ...)

My second claim this round, 0 sent, 0 received.

Hi, Im Kirsten, Im a full time student. I live in New Zealand, married with two teenaged stepsons and two spoilt cats. I love art and I do a lot of drawing and printmaking.

I like most colours, and particularly blue/green/teal/aqua, natural tones, or black and white. See my profile or my wist for more ideas about my taste. I like lots of things, so dont feel you have to stick to the wist inspirations too closely. I dont have allergies. I prefer natural fibres, but not exclusively, so if you think its nice Ill probably like it too. Im happy to chat, and easy to please, feel free to PM me if you want to know more.

Since I live far, far away, I do appreciate craftsters being willing to send to me. I have tried to keep my wishlist items small and light. Thank you!!

CRAFTS

VARIOUS CRAFTY POSSIBILITIES
* wisty surprise - http://wists.com/jemimah
* a Star Trek or Doctor Who thingy, whatever you like to make, my faves are Spock, tardis and daleks. (Useful rather than decorative is usually my preference, but any Spock, tardis, or dalek item that lands in my letterbox will find a home)
* a fox or a British robin in your favourite craft medium (again, great if its useful, but not essential)
* things to put other things in box, purse, bag, wallet, organiser, etc.

SEWN
* a pockety bag lots of different size pockets for projects/art supplies, any style or size, doesnt have to have any zippers
* a tardis pockety bag would be truly awesome
* a Cake or Death? tea cosy (Eddie Izzard quote) Id prefer sewn (stencilled/appliqu/embroidered/whatever), rather than knitted
* something embroidered (hand or machine, a panel for me to make into something, or a finished item basically, anything you think I might like!)
* an awesome apron (plain and practical, something fun, or something pretty - you choose!)
* crafty organiser (e.g. needlework project holder, thing for storing small supplies and bits, stationery organiser)

YARN RELATED
* handknitted wool socks (average womens size, any colour)
* stitch markers for knitting
* felted scarf like the ones on my wist (green/teal/lime/aqua would be great)
* felted bowls/containers
* fingerless mitts in wool or natural fibres, any colour you think is nice (I like the ravelry patterns Fetching, Humanity, Princess, but other patterns are fine too)
* hand dyed/hand spun yarn (prefer natural fibres, any colour you think looks good)

PAPER RELATED
* notecards/stationery
* handmade sketchbook/journal (unlined if possible, mixed/recycled papers are great)
* handmade stamps in a theme I like (see my profile and wists), e.g. birds, frogs, fish, trees, art related.

OTHER CRAFTS
* handmade ceramic item, esp. in celadon green (but any colours are good) keep it small and affordable to mail. (I would love a little fox like the one on my wist)
* stencilled t-shirt (XL, v-neck or scoop neck, 3/4 or long sleeves best, but not essential)
* postage stamp pendant
* something else that I havent thought of, that you think Id like!

CRAFT SUPPLIES

* real silk for embroidery, any colours this is my big wish, its hideously expensive where I live (its probably not that cheap where you live, but I bet its cheaper than here!). I am addicted to Soie d'Alger (made by Au Ver Soie). If you send me some, I will also send you a tiny pretty made with it by way of extra thanks. Smiley
* any interesting embroidery supplies (please stick with quality over quantity, Id much rather have a tiny envelope with a few lovely skeins/little things than lots of cheap floss/beads, and it's also cheaper for postage!) The sort of stuff I like is DMC, anything silk or linen, Au Ver Soie, Japanese stuff, bits for goldwork (purl, kid, etc.), handmade/hand dyed, quirky things. Vintage/recycled is fine.  No Aida please.
* silk or embroidered fabric, Japanese fabric (just small bits for embroidery and tiny things; no bulk fabric Id love it, but it may bankrupt you to mail it)
* Noro yarn, recycled sari yarn, other silk/luxury yarn
* thick stampcarving material (I have the tools, but the only stuff to carve I can easily find here is lino and small erasers)
* vintage Anna magazines (either English or German) these might be pricey to ship so just 1 or 2 is fine
* nice paper - e.g handmade, japanese, printmaking, textured, any colour or weight - it's for printmaking, so plainish rather than very patterned - but whatever you think is nice would be great (just a few pieces)
* paper ephemera
* small art supplies items:-
     - pencils, markers and pens (Prismacolor/Derwent/Caran D'Ache/Posca for example, or similar)
     - peel and sketch charcoal pencils
     - drypoint etching tools (needle, scraper, roulette, plastic for etching)
     - inkpads, little stencils, stamps, etc.

(Smiley I know I have put some quite expensive things on my supplies list. This is because it would be a waste of your money to post lots of the cheaper supplies that I like and use all the way to NZ, unless you live near me of course! I really do only expect small amounts/tiny parcels, within the OWS guidelines.)

EXTRAS
* I always enjoy bookmarks, vintage/interesting buttons, little pouches, etc.
* no candy (I like it TOO much)

Smiley Smiley Thank you to everyone who has sent me lovely things!!! Some things are still on my list, because I love what you sent, and I am happy to receive similar things again.

NB. New Zealand has tough biosecurity at the border. This is very unlikely to apply to this swap, but just in case ... Please dont send natural materials (feathers, leaves, wood, seeds e.g. lavender, etc.) Everything on my list is absolutely fine to send, but PM me if youre unsure about something. Thanks  Smiley

I claim Jemimah for an awesome apron.

1st claim, 0 sent, 0 rec'd

My name is Teresa.  I live in Ga. with my wonderful hubby of 30 years and our two grown daughters ( who have both returned to the nest to finish their educations).  I have a grown stepson and am Mimi to a 13 year old boy and 7 year old girl.   We share our little homestead with a pet cow, mini donkey ( he's something of a cute bully), three pygmy goats, and seven cats.

I use swaps to collect OOAK gifts for my friends and family so my wist reflects quite a variety of tastes.  Please read tags/notes carefully if you choose something wisty for color preferences, sizes, etc.  I am completely okay with you taking something from my wist and making it in your favorite medium rather than the one pictured.  I can't tolerate the smell of smoke or lavender.

Crafts:

Big Wish:  Yoga Socks!  I desperately want yoga socks made out of wonderfully thin and colorful sock yarn.  These would be for my daughter who has teeny feet, women's size 5 shoe.

Big Wish:  A girl's/women's fitted t-shirt in med. or dark blue, hunter green, gray or black that says  Smarmy  on it.  I would want this to be screen printed/ silk screened.  This would need to be either a small or xs.  This daughter doesn't care for those super long fitted t's ( she's barely over 5') but if you have a serger you could get one of those and hem it a bit.  She loves the t's at Target except for the length.  V neck is best but normal scoop neck is okay too ( none of those super wide scoop necks that fall off the shoulders

beaded tree sculpture ( not jewelry) in amber/orange/brown
anything phrenology themed
anything sugar skull/ Day of the Dead themed
cat tent that looks "piratey"
black scoodie in fleece with hood part lined in something silky so my hair won't get crazy
sz. 2 black and white polka dot swirly skirt ( for a 5' tall woman)
sz. 51/2 mukluks with fake leather soles
knitted purse in greens with wooden handles
anything off my wist

supplies:

wool felt ( scraps are fine, its for a penny rug)
any Japanese craft book
bias tape makers
rotary cutter
any knitting loom ( any size, made of anything)
dmc floss ( please only dmc brand)
aida
sublime stitching transfers for hand embroidery ( monkey love, zombies, or vital organs) ( It's okay if you've used a couple of the patterns and just send me what you didn't use from the package)
transfer pens
interfacing ( prefer med. or heavy and fusible)
sushi print fabrics
all purpose thread ( new please)
any craft books or magazines

extras:

vintage children's books
Bunny Suicide anything
cat toys/treats
gluten free treats

I claim mxer145 for a wisty surprise! (not 100% sure yet!)

My name is Crystal, I live in TX, and I love:

My family!: Hubby, baby boy, Max, 8 months, and 3 rescued chihuahuas.
Music: I play piano and guitar, and I sing. Singing is my #1 love. Favorite artist at the moment is Regina Spektor.
Beach: Live in TX now, but moving to FL at the end of the year. Planning to get a sailboat, and spending a LOT of time on the water.
Sushi: Just love it. Before baby we used to do Sushi Saturday every week!
Bees: Planning on starting a few beehives in the next year or two, and harvesting honey.
Exercise: Trying to lose the last of the baby weight, Ugh! Diet, lifting weights, and me and the hubby have some pretty intense racquetball tournaments!
Crafting: It started with Scrapbooking, and has branched out, thanks to craftster. I want to get really good at sewing. I want to make my own dresses someday!
Photography: I just got an amazing camera, and am learning so much! I am practicing with my baby, but eventually want to do semi-professionally! I am loving every minute of learning!

Ok, so that tells a lot about me, now on to my wish list!

Crafts:

~1~Cloth/elastic headbands in whatever prints. I like modern floral designs, I like soft colors and jewel tones. Less a fan of overly garish colors, and neons. Hippie or cool ethnic looking prints are awesome.

~2~Checkbook Cover- I just got way into budgeting, something I should've done a long time ago, LOL, so I always have my checkbook nearby. Would love a cool cover for it. Fabric can be almost anything, since it is only a checkbook cover! Anything I mentioned before, or something more cutesy, like cute birds, doggies, sushi, or other character-y looking things. Something fun or funny.

~3~Teething Bibs for baby boy! He is teething, and is subsequently soaking his shirts with drool, and chewing on them! LOL! I'd rather him soak a bib that I can change, rather than a shirt! Have you seen these amazing things? http://www.etsy.com/listing/57086795/pacifier-bib-or-teether-bib-citron?ref=sr_gallery_17&ga_search_query=bib&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=2&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title  I didn't even know these existed, but they look PERFECT! I'd prefer a snap rather than a tie or a pullover kind. Fabric can be anything. Characters, babyish, fun, funny, funky, cute, WHATEVER!

~4~Statment necklaces inspired by those on my wists! Love Anthropologie type pieces! I prefer silver to gold. Love subdued colors, like whites, clear, grays, black, etc,  and bright jewel tones in all colors!

~5~Knit Yoga socks similar to these: http://www.etsy.com/listing/48249851/yoga-socks-knitted-pilates-ballet-leg?ref=sr_gallery_3&ga_search_query=yoga+socks&ga_search_type=category&category=accessories&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title unless you have a better pattern, in a similar color. Earthy tan/beige/white, whatever.

~6~Needlebook- I don't have one! Depending on how its made, maybe something embroidered? Or in cool japanese fabric? There are so many cool ideas out there, I'd be happy with anything!(I have a few on my wists for inspiration) but really, ANYTHING is fine!

~7~Knitted/Crocheted hat for baby boy. See wists for examples. He is in the 99th percentile for head size, so store bought never fits! LOL! PM for noggin measurements. Neutral color would be cool, beige/brown/tan/white or blues or greens. Earthier colors. Love the kind with the little bill on it.

~8~Finger or Hand Puppet(s)-You can see wists for inspiration, but really, ANY animal/character, in ANY colors!

~9~Baby neckties, see wist. or here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/trendytikes  I love all these ties! Dots, stripes, damasks, simple floral, gingham, paisley, plaid, you name it! Any color will do-black, green, orange, brown, even pink would be cool in a modern print. I prefer the kind that I tie myself as opposed to the clip-on kind. Short enough for an 8-12 month old...you can pm for measurements too if you'd like. If they're too long, he'll grow into it!

~10~Heat/Cold packs like these on my wist: http://wists.com/lookitscrystal/cb5a568d9792c70f799a748f9f25afc4?offset=0  That can be microwaved. Any size, any pretty fabric, however many. One medium/large or a few pocket sized...you know, WHATEVER!

~11~ Homemade bath products, from candles to soap, and mostly, would LOVE a homemade shampoo bar and homemade deoderant (With a recipe!) I made some with some essential oils I got in the mail and the smell just didn't quite work with the cocoa butter I used in  the deoderant. Anyway, to keep experimenting would get too expensive for me, so I thought I could try all your recipes! If you don't want to share recipes, I'd love some homemade product anyway!

~12~Wisty surprise! wists.com/lapistola (mostly baby stuff) and wists.com/lookitscrystal

Supplies:
1. Any Cricut cartridges you don't want/use anymore!
2. Fabric! Anything you have or want to get rid of, as I want to practice my sewing! Would love some pretty or cute stuff, but really, I'll take anything, scraps, fat quarters, yardage, etc! Even plain old white cotton. I'd love it!
4. Dremel-I know, I can dream!
5. Beads, beading supplies. I want to learn to make big neckalces like the ones on my wists and have never made jewelry before. So ANYTHING is more than welcome, would be great if you are de-stashing!
6. Exacto knife blades
7. Wonder Under, zippers, Buttons, sewing notions
8. Fabric Paint, any color, any brand.
9. Resin Kit. I so want to learn this craft!

I claim Lady Pistola for fabric, and maybe some beading supplies! Smiley

First claim, none pending...

I’m located in Maryland, and am currently mostly a housewife.  I do a little bit of everything, and gently used materials or supplies are just fine by me.  Smiley  I'm allergic to tobacco, so please don't claim me for unwashable fiber or paper goods if anyone in your home smokes (even outside).

See my profile, or my swap info page for stalking info.

Crafts:

*wool dryer balls
*genuinely unscented hand lotion (every time I use hand lotion my husband asks me why I smell funny...)
*a swiffer cover or two (any colors, so long as it’s washable!)
*pillow covers (the kind that zip shut) for standard sized bed pillows
*a weeding tote: canvas or other sturdy material bag with a round bottom on which it will stand up on its own.  I’m thinking about 18” diameter and similar height, medium sized carry straps, and no holes for things to fall out of.  (I have seen such things, but can’t find them on the internet—everyone wants to sell me super complex bags full of tool pockets, which I don’t need.)
*hand or machine embroidered patches suitable for sewing onto other things (see my wist/etsy favs for inspiration, or my swap info page for a list of motifs I like)
*handmade & naturally scented soaps (I prefer vanilla/nut/oatmeal sorts of scents to fruit flavors, although things like rose or jasmine are also nice) Also, please think lightly scented, as I reach the “too much scent” point before most people
*handmade paper
*rainbow striped or earth tones leg warmers (ping me for size—I like long & slouchy, but I also have a pair that falls off my feet...)
*decorated push-pins or magnets (or both!)

could be either crafted or bought supplies:
*nature-themed or old fashioned rubber or acrylic stamps (think pre-1930s: Victorian/Edwardian/Art Nouveau/medieval, etc)
*handspun/art yarn, in pretty much any amount (there are some examples on my wists under the yarn tag)
*or anything from the want tag on my wists (read the comments first!)

Supplies:

*silk, linen, or other interesting material embroidery floss (I have lots of cotton already)
*high quality glass seed beads
*wooden DPNs to fill in my collection: so far I have sizes 0,2,4,6,8, & 10.5, so anything else would be great Smiley
*linen thread for bookbinding
*medium to heavy gauge colored aluminum jewelry wire
*laceweight yarn (odd skeins are fine, 2 the same color even better!)

Extras:

*leftover cool yarn ends from your finished projects (anything over about half a yard I can find some use for...)
*small to medium sized see-through jars/bottles (like old spice containers) to keep beading notions in
*old roadmaps or other large sheets of paper I can cut up to make book signatures
*interesting teas & candies are generally welcome Wink

I claim thanate for some swiffer covers!

--Handmade, natural soaps, as long as they arent too strongly scented
--Long armwarmers / hobo gloves (please no pure wool, I cant stand its itchiness)
--Waterproof reusable snack baggies
--Padded laptop sleeve for my Acer netbook (I nicknamed it Babytop)
--A roomy purse in some sort of girly-punk fabric (like skulls with hairbows, etc) this would be for my sister, so just ask me about any fabric
--Body pillow with a colorful cover
--Fun patterned pillowcases to brighten up my dorm room.  Id love an owl print!   Thanks SMLounsbury!
--A lightweight kimono robe for me just something more secure to cover up with than a towel, as Im in a dorm without my own bathroom this year
--Handcarved stamps.  There's a lot of examples on my wist.
--New! Handmade journals/stationary
--New! A crocheted/knitted hobo bag
--New! Wall art

--Any sewing 101 books/magazines/whatever youd be willing pass on to me
--Any sewing patterns clothing, housewares, bags, etc.
--Fabric: plain quilting cotton, lightweight denim, flannel, terry, etc.

Extras:
Whatever, really.  I'm trying to stay away from candies/chocolate ATM, but I love tea and coffee
