so.. I made another paper cut out, hoping it'd turn out better than my last one?
bubbly hair, she's not going up in flames, but in bubbles.. pop pop pop

I actually planned to make one with a butterfly garden in her hair, but I misplanned and had to stop midway and throw
it out.
But I made this!
100% paper, excluding glue and foam squares.
Slightly taller than an average gluestick, but bigger than my neon fire one.
Free hand drawn then cut out.
almost all of the circles were hand-cut, only the largest circles at the bottom
and the tiny ones were punched out!
With tiny nail scissors. No knife. Ouch.
here you go:

it was made in one sitting.

I like her a smidge more than your fire one, I saw it when you first put it out. I think cuz I like the blue scheme better. Something about favorite colors, I think... Cheesy

Anyways, I saw this in the 'newest projects' slide on the homepage and I was like, "GASP!! I KNOW WHO MADE THAT!!!" So I'm soooo happy to see another project from you! It's fabulous, darling, simply fabulous.

You should give that butterfly garden one another shot. I work for my sister's clothing boutique and our most popular dress is called 'Butterfly Gardens' so it'd be cool to see. Just cuz the words are so hopelessly engrained in my head for time and all eternity. It really is like a marriage.

Anyways, way to be off topic, self. Point is - -  You're awesome!!!

I also hope you try the butterfly hairdo girl again...I would love to see it finished! Cheesy

Thank you all so much! I never expected such a good response!
Feels so nice to have a style people recognize, makes me feel special! Smiley
I'll definitely try the butterfly garden one again,
when I plan it out properly. And have the time.
Mostly what made me mess up is that part way through I got blocked, because I'd wrongly planned my colors
(trying to make all the hair black except flowers and butterflies) which led to me trying to do all the hair in one layer, which looked weird, so I got blocked, tried and failed to fix it and threw it out!
i do have a craft knife.. somewhere... But I have a bad, bad, bad history with sharp or hot items, and scissors are at the bottom of the list, and knives are in my top 3.

On a side note- This is 100% cardstock. I hate construction paper, and origami paper is too flimsy and see-through.
I just use scraps from my mother's scrapbooking, because she's an avid scrapbooker. So some of it is textured, but who cares?

long post.. sorry?

This is so pretty.

You've made me want to make one.   Cheesy  Though mine would definitely turn out rubbish. Roll Eyes

Life's a garden.  Dig it.
