So I'm fairly new to knitting, I have made some small stuff and one shirt that didn't turn out so well.. So I didn't want to challenge myself too much, I wanted to make a project that I really would enjoy, something that I could get finished within a year or six moths. I think this took me about six months, I started knitting sometime in the spring and got done with it in September.

I'm extremely proud of the outcome, and it looks totally different from the pattern, which I like. It's really something that I enjoy wearing! SO! I hope you enjoy the pictures (and I know you will!).

and to get an idea of the collar:

just as reference, here is the pattern (sorry, it's in Finnish!) http://www.ullaneule.net/0307/ohjeet_freddie.html

Thanks everyone! It really did turn out better than expected. I love the closures too: I was originally thinking of large buttons (like in the pattern), but I'm so glad I chose against that Smiley

Looks so awesome on you (way better than the model in the pattern)! I love the closures too, very classy.

thank you all for such great comments! i think it looks equally good on me and the pattern model, we just have very different styles. i do sometimes want to look like the other model, though!

i've worn this out quite a few times and the closures are the things i get most commented on. i think i made a good pick Grin
