Silent Hill

I wanted to do something different this halloween, Silent Hill nurse was the best I could think of.
* I bought a blank craft, face mask at Joanns for $4.99
* I ordered a nurse costume off amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Flash-Nurse-Sexy-Costume/dp/B000VJ2S32/ref=sr_1_2?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285136502&sr=8-2)

In all it cost a little over $30. I also bought paper mache strips at Michaels craft store for $9.99, these pics are before I've made the mask. My husband took the pics for me (he just bought an Olympus E-30)

C&C appreciated!  Grin

(Photoshopped obviously, but I think I'll paint veins on me for halloween)

nice!!! Its amazing the differences from game to game too... I always loved the nurses from 2 better. Yea a knife is okay... but when they have those pipes they hit hard! or was that 3?

I think if you want to give your legs that ghostly tint with the veins maybe a really light cream color pantyhose would be neat. But maybe it would be easier to do the whole paint... any ideas for hair yet?

OOOOh!! That is a great idea! I was thinking nude pantyhose, but I love the cream color idea. That would make the veins stand out a lot more too! I bought paper mache to do the mask. I am really stuck on what to do with my hair. Would it look better to have just a face mask that looks like a nurse, maybe a wig/hair net.  Or should I do a bubblehead mask do you think?

the running theme of the nurses does seem to be the covered face. In 1, 2, and 3 I think the faces look more like they are covered by plastic bandages, and Origins, 5, and the movie its more like a dark ash-y fleshy look.

You can still have hair showing and keep the theme of the nurses. In 1 they had short straight black hair, very Japanese- but you could make it look a little messy.

And these nurses look more like the bandages cover the whole head- including hair.

This looks like a really good option!

I actually think it looks better with some kind of detail on the face and back of the head instead of leaving it just white.
and here is a pic I found of just two different SH nurses together

Your welcome! It looked pretty easy, it was from a deviant artist so I'm not sure if she has some sort of tute up for it or not. Just looks like paper mache' and maybe mod podge or even hot glue to give it texture.

I know you have your mask and everything, don't want to throw too many options at you but-
This guy does some awesome tutorials and he has a good one for a mummy- but if you take out the gauze its like what your going for.

 I just bought liquid latex and "spirit halloween store" I bought like a half gallon for $17. I noticed in the pictures from the Silent hill movie that their masks, well their outfits even, look like latex. I am going to do a few different masks, paper mache, and possibly a paper mache with the latex over the top for a more realistic look
