here are some (really awful!) pictures of the beautiful tiny book that i received from Ninja_Poo- after i found out she was also a fan of Carnivale whilst doing a little stalking, i messaged her and she agreed to craft me a book based on the show-
Ninja sent me a super sweet Totoro card, which i've posted alongside the book so you can compare sizes- the card is the size of a 6 by 8 photograph, i think
inside the front cover- tickets to the Carnivale
as well as a bookplate made from vintage-looking paper- i don't think i can write my name small enough!
my absolute favourite page- Ruthie the snake charmer
this one shows off the textured, aged paper pretty well- i should point out that every page in the book has a hand drawn illustration on it
and the best picture i could get of the binding-
please feel free to post some pictures of your own if you were able to take them before sending, Ninja_Poo- i feel terrible that i don't have any way to capture the awesome of this gorgeous book that you sent me
i was able to take better pictures of the book that i made, as my dad was home from work for the weekend with his camera-
the little bumblebees are for granny weatherwax
i had made an 'i ate'nt dead' sign, but it was too big and kept falling off!
thank you so much for being my partner, Ninja_Poo, and huge thanks to Noo for being our organiser
it took a lot for me to join this swap, knowing how many seriously talented papercrafters we have on craftster, but everyone has been so lovely i don't plan to ever let the fact i'm a complete noob put me off from signing up for something different again
i can't wait to see what else is going to appear in the gallery- thanks again, everyone!
