My partner PearlyWhirly and Nooo and I were all starting to get worried, my tiny book seemed to have disappeared. It only had a short hop to make to get here and we had given it up for lost. Pearly had even started to make a second one...and I was feeling particularly badly for her given this is her first swap

but yesterday it arrived!! and it is gorgeous, she did an amazing job. It is so inventive, well made and just so gorgeous. Prepare to wist and be wowed...

Its the story of a bird, who hatches from an egg in a nest, high up in a tree.

she loves the nest and happily sings from dawn to dusk

She visits the neighbouring flowers, singing her little heart out all the way

she is a brave little bird and flies over tall cliffs, she is looking for something, she is not sure exactly what.

One day she lands on a branch...on the same branch is another very handsome bird...

They finally see one another with their hearts as well as their eyes..and the rest is bliss..

PearlyWhirly has a fabulous eye for design and I was really lucky to be her partner...I hope that she does loads more swapping!!

Thanks.

Thanks to hdggm for the tip!

Others in my photo gallery. But this book is seriously awesome, now we just have to wait for DanniQueen to post pics of the book I sent her.

here are some (really awful!) pictures of the beautiful tiny book that i received from Ninja_Poo- after i found out she was also a fan of Carnivale whilst doing a little stalking, i messaged her and she agreed to craft me a book based on the show-

Ninja sent me a super sweet Totoro card, which i've posted alongside the book so you can compare sizes- the card is the size of a 6 by 8 photograph, i think

inside the front cover- tickets to the Carnivale  Cheesy as well as a bookplate made from vintage-looking paper- i don't think i can write my name small enough!

my absolute favourite page- Ruthie the snake charmer

this one shows off the textured, aged paper pretty well- i should point out that every page in the book has a hand drawn illustration on it  Shocked

and the best picture i could get of the binding-

please feel free to post some pictures of your own if you were able to take them before sending, Ninja_Poo- i feel terrible that i don't have any way to capture the awesome of this gorgeous book that you sent me  Embarrassed

i was able to take better pictures of the book that i made, as my dad was home from work for the weekend with his camera-

the little bumblebees are for granny weatherwax  Smiley i had made an 'i ate'nt dead' sign, but it was too big and kept falling off!

thank you so much for being my partner, Ninja_Poo, and huge thanks to Noo for being our organiser  Smiley it took a lot for me to join this swap, knowing how many seriously talented papercrafters we have on craftster, but everyone has been so lovely i don't plan to ever let the fact i'm a complete noob put me off from signing up for something different again Cheesy i can't wait to see what else is going to appear in the gallery- thanks again, everyone!

Grin Aw, thank you! You're pretty awesome yourself. Wink

Here are my much delayed photos of the lovely book Jiasaykea sent to me. I've been having some serious issues with my eye and have been at the mercy of my DH for my photo taking needs.  Undecided Better late than never though!

Thank you so much for the great story book! Smiley
