Thrifted skirt, to lounge/summer pants (just in time for winter. ha!) Is anyone interested in a tutorial? It's fairly simple, but there is no such tutorial anywhere on the interwebs (that I've found). and all of the "professional seamstresses" on Yahoo Answers (and such other sites) said it's impossible to do. Pshaw!!

There is only just enough room for my bum, so I'm thinking of redoing the waistband so that it's a bit higher in the back.

Thanks for looking!

these are cute! A tute would be great if it's not to hard to write up. I have some long skirts that I think would be perfect for this.

I would love a tute though I don't know that I could wear these around the DH with the form fitting tush area.  Shocked  They do look great though.

Great, I'll work on it soon as I find another suitable skirt!

SML, you can use any style pant you want, to use as a pattern. I used a pair that were a bit small, thus, booty-age. But if you use a loose pair of pants as a guide, your altered pants will be loose as well. haha, you'll see what I mean when I make the tutorial Smiley

I've kept this sort of thing at the back of my mind, thinking that there must be a way to do this....and since you've already figured it out, I'd love to see your process!

I have one of those long thinner tiered skirts set aside to do  this with. I know it's possibly as I've seen them on etsy so booo to the "experts" who say it can't be done.
I love the print on your pants they are super cute! And look awesomely comfy! I'd love to see any tips/tutorial you'd like to share!
