Okay, guys, I am one of Spotnik's five packages, and I just received about twenty minutes ago.

I am absolutely floored.  Such amazing generosity.  I've had a really horrendous week what with school, a sucky job, some issues with my meds...basically I just have been in a very "woe is I" attitude and your package literally made me want to cry.  Such beautiful stuff, and so much of it.

On to pictures!  (You'll have to ignore my room, I don't clean haha)

First off, this AMAZING piece of brocade, draped over my twin bed for size comparison.

I couldn't get a decent close-up, but it's got cocks and dragons on it and it's wonderful.

Then, what I think is flannel.  Correct me if I'm wrong, still learning my fabric types.

It's so cute!

Then some one-sided velvety stuff (?)

And then...THIS!  It's HUGE!

It could easily stretch all the way across my dorm room.  I draped it over my head and it fell down in a huge pile in front of and behind me.  I'm 5'3", so it's more than ten feet long.  I've never had a fabric piece that large before, and of something so beautiful!

There were two(!) more pieces, one smaller section of purple cotton that I think will make a cute purse/wallet, and an even larger chunk of a heavier, silky beige something with blue pinstripes.  I'd give you pics, but my camera batteries died and I was too excited to wait to post.

THANK YOU SO MUCH SPOTNIK!  I am over the moon.

Yay! I am SO glad you like everything writer_crafter, and that it made your day better. Smiley  I am so happy it got there so quickly, and the challenge I set for myself was to see how much I could stuff in a large flat rate box  Cheesy

As far as the large pieces, I have a tendency to buy lots and lots of fabric when I am in love with it.  Also, I am a big girl, so it takes lots of fabric to make clothes for me.  LOL!

And yes, the eskimos are flannel.

Take care of yourself, ok?   Kiss

i received from spotnik yesterday!  she was indeed a generous giver.  i only took photos of the fabric all folded up but each piece had quite a bit of yardage in it.

the two on the left are sort of shiny like asian inspired prints (LOVE), the bottom piece is a neat heavy weight slightly fuzzy paisley print, then there is the super cool fern print fabric and the heavy gray fabric that reminds me of the fabric that dress pants are made of...and indeed they may become dress pants as there is certainly plenty of it.

the black fabric on the right is sort of sheer and very light weight...maybe it will become a dress or dressy poncho (again gobs and gobs of it; i could prob make both a dress and poncho!), the colorful dog print is cotton and will be used in my upcoming kids projects (i think it would look cute for crayon wallets and any scraps would be fab for the start to an ISPY quilt), the two remaining fabrics are perfect for a friend of mine.  I am thinking for the top left, it will become a poncho and the bottom right will become a small handbag!

Thanks so much spotnik!
