I got 16oz, wide-mouthed jars from Wal-Mart. Twelve for $8-9. Make sure to get the wide-mouthed ones or you'll have trouble getting the cake out Wink The one's I got are by Kerr and are for home canning.

I sent all 8 to him... I realized that was a mistake because the next day I REALLY wanted one haha. Him and all his buddies said it was delicious though. I haven't gotten around to buying more jarsto make another batch, but soon.

That is such a creative idea! You should start a little nonprofit of sending cake overseas. I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to donate for it.

Excellent idea! when  hubby was in Kuwait he kept asking me to send my chocolate death brownies and I didn't because I thought they'd go bad before they arrived. Next deployment he'll get a better care package. Thanks for sharing.
