I am fairly new to machine embroidery. I have had my machine for about 4 months and just LOVE it....

Sorry, I was so excited to take a picture I forgot to wash off the lines before I took the picture.

Amarok: Thanks for the comments.... I buy most of my designs from http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/default.aspx

If you register for their Countdown to Christmas, they will send you sales and discount codes.   Once you start purchasing from them, they will also send ou discount codes almost weekly. I only paid $1.25 for each of these fairy designs.....

Love the colors!  What kind of machine do you have?

Love Emblibrary also!  Countdown to Christmas is awesome, a free holiday embroidery each month.

I have a Brother LB6800-Sewing/Embroidery combo.  It is my first machine and I just LOVE IT!! I couldn't bring myself to spend $1000 or more on a machine that I wasn't even sure I would use enough to justify that $1000.... I bought the machine from costco.com for $400... and it came with a whole lot of thread. It is has a USB port so, I just link it up to my laptop and away I go.  I buy alot of designs from Embroidery Library. It only embroiders 4X4, but I have found that is fine for what I am doing.

I did buy some software- Embird for about $150 and I can manipulate the files.  I just recently purchased the add on Font Engine and love it.  I can use the fonts that I use in my word processing or printshop and it coverts them to stitches.... i have been using it alot......

I have 2 other brother sewing machines that I just love.  Had Singer but had so many issues with tension and bobbins that I just couldn't stand it anymore. I have had NO problems with this machine. Pretty much used right out of the box, that easy.......

As you can see, I just adore this machine. Anytime anyone asks me about what machine I use, I light up like a Christmas Tree...
