I'm really loving this embroidery thing... maybe I shouldn't say that I'm new to it anymore....but really, its only been 3-4 months, which isn't long....anyway... I did this tree man over the weekend..... pattern was from urbanthreads ... and I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out..... done in a 6 inch hoop, and 3 strands of DMC, mostly backstitch, and a bit of satin/fill stitch for the eyes...

and a bit closer....

and the entire hoop....

I am going to put it in a different hoop .......finish the back ..... and hang it on my HOOPLA WALL....
thanks for looking, would love to hear what you think....

Shocked I love it!!!  Greenmen are one of the many things I collect . . . and this is totally amazing!  Pretty please post a pic after you finish it off so we can see the final product.

Love this! I'm going to look for this pattern on urban threads (don't you just love that website?). You did a really good job choosing the colours, this project = awesome

This makes me wish I knew how to embroider. It's so pretty and perfect for this time of year.
