My surprises from A2K!

My first pair of knit socks!! I put these on immediately (as you can tell, hehe):

Boxes decoupaged with fabric and paper. What could be inside?

Why, a little pincushion and a tape measure for starters:

And the rest of the goodies- buttons, stitch markers, a glass vase with paper flowers, penguin plates and napkins, and other bits and bobs:

Thanks A2K!

Your socks look a little big, freestyle!  Sorry about that.   The little flowers are actually made from sticks -- you peel back the bark and inner layers with your jack knife, poke a floral wire into the other end and wrap that end with floral tape.  These were bathed in rit dye before assembling.  They are fun to make.  I found that little vase in the local antique store and thought it such a beautiful blue that you had to have it.  Your package was awfully small compared to others here.  I'll make it up to you.  I promise.

Where are you cruising to, Sansa?

Your socks look a little big, freestyle!  Sorry about that.

Couple times in the laundry and they'll be good as new!  Just how many folks (besides my immediate family) get hand knit socks??? Not too many without paying a goodly price!

I love those stick flowers!    The boxes (what I could imagine I'd put in those!) That tape measurer ... I'd put on my wheel ... somehow!  The buttons!  ohhhh, I know a few things I would put them on...then there are the things that look like Christmas ornaments to me.  I'd think of you every year!!

I think you sent a wonderful SS package A2K
