Lately I've been really enjoying working on tiny shrines, so when I found these cute little bird shrines, I had have them! I covered each one in some 7Gypsies scrapbook paper, collaged a 1 1/2" block with the same line of paper (from the Conservatory 8x8 Paper Pack), and attached the birds to the blocks with bamboo skewers.
Here's both of them together:

The "Key to my Heart" bird: I used some tiny key and lock charms for him. The nest is made out of some sort of packing material that I've had around forever because I thought surely I'd need it some day!

The "Mom" bird: This bird is celebrating the imminent hatching of her two tiny eggs. Her nest is made of the same packing material, and has too of the tiniest little eggs (only 1/4" tall!) in it.

I have a feeling I'm going to have to order some more of those shrines!

What a nice idea. Like the key to your heart bird the most. But they are both so wonderful!

And I think all Craftsters keep things, just in case you need it one day..  Wink
Because we do! (might be 3 years later, but still...)

Thanks, everyone!

browndog, I got the shrines and paper from Alpha Stamps, and the blocks from Michaels. If I make more, I may cut the blocks from scrap wood I have at home, but it sure was awfully convenient to have those precut blocks available.
