Hello one and all, been a bit again since I've logged on to post any new projects.  A while back I had stitched up some chickens for my neighbor and during that project my mom expressed (I should say hinted) at wanting some of her own towels made by me.  So I got to work on them after I dug out the patterns from the depths of my computer, I wish I could post the site that I pulled them from but it has been ages ago and I just can't remember where they came from now.
Well, let's get onto the stitching.

I used stem stitch for almost the entire batch, adding a few french knots where needed.  Needless to say she loved them.  I suppose I should have held onto them for a holiday or something like that but they weren't ready for her birthday so I suppose they would be a very late birthday gift.  Oh, one other thing....
I LOVE variegated floss!

Wow, they are amazing! It must have taken ages to complete them!
It's real hard picking a favorite, but I think I'd go for the rose Smiley

These are so lovely!
I love the sweet peas and the poppy, but really they're all beautiful! And the writing is nice too - it works well with the flowers Smiley
And presents 'just because' are the best!
