Freesytle - I LOVE that "Starburst" ....you should add some more of your stuff to your STS shop ...I've been saving my points..lol

Lol, I have 6 or 7 bags of flick-carded fluff ready to go up in the shop, I just haven't had time to take pics and post them. I ended up working overtime the past 3 days and just not feeling like doing much of anything when getting home. But they'll be posted this weekend I promise!  Smiley

Fibre Festival?! I definitely need to travel more....

Sarahj2001:I really like the first two and your dyed wool! The Queen of Hearts does look very shiny (both literally and in the awesome way), but I'm more curious as to how your kool-aid wool will spin up Cheesy.

Slingmomma: The firestar/superwash looks so icy Tongue Does the firestar mess with the overall softness of the fibre at all?

SewMamaLady: That bamboo fiber is something else, very vibrant and it looks very silky.  Your last two (from the fiber swap and purchase) both remind me of the fruity smoothies we get in summer!

Freestyle: the yarn for onredboot looks interesting, what fiber(s) is it? Starburst looks lovely, the colours work really well together.

Now for the spin-along http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=358088.0 I'm doing a hat for myself largely due to a) a lack of fiber and b) a lack of time.... So, the hat will be made using the "Divine Hat" pattern over on Rheatheylia.com and pretty close to the last of my fiber  Cry

Some of the undyed roving

Dyed roving (only about half of it)

Some of the over-spun singles  Lips sealed

I've got it all plied now (waiting for reasonable light to photograph it) so I'll try and post it in the next few days  Undecided

Such pretty yarns and fiber this week everyone! Yum yum yum.

My parents brought me my wheel yesterday so hopefully I can get back to some spinning really soon!

Sorry, I'm a bit late. The whole household is sick, including yours truly Sad

First up is Kraken! A merino bamboo blend. I think its about a fingering/sport weight.

Next up is from a SAL I'm in called "Famous Couples". This yarn is made from two chunky art batts, one was "Sid" and the other was "Nancy". This yarn has made me realize I need a jumbo flyer for my wheel. It got a bit difficult at times to spin and ply.

freestyle- that starburst roving is such pretty bright colours and I love the handspun! The blue and orange look so awesome together!

SewMamaLady- I love the colours of the bamboo! I still have a small amount of bamboo that I need to spin and now you have me itching to do so!

Azzarath- I was really surprised that the firestar didn't affect the softness! It's probably because there is not a whole lot in it! Just enough to sparkle! I can't wait to see what your singles look like plied and the finished item!

Zombie_Queen- I love both of your yarns! Is the pink in the first one as hot pink looking as the picture? I love it!

No pictures this week.  I spun up & plyed  the onion dyed roving from last week.  I'm liking it and probably won't put it out for sale at Farmer's market.  I'll get pictures when the sun comes out again.

I was vending at Fiber in the Park today.  Torrent downpour!  That didn't keep the fiber enthusiasts away though!  Attendance was down, but those that were there had cash in hand and wanted to buy!  I actually sold more of my milk soap than I did my fiber ....

Guess what I need to do this week???

Thanks Azzarath! The orange and teal fibers are both kettle-dyed Merino (I think- I need to get a better fiber tracking system in place).  Roll Eyes  Love the colors of your roving! I bet it made a gorgeous 2-ply!!

Zombie_Queen, I love how your Famous Couples yarn turned out! When's the voting begin? I was really tempted to join that SAL- kindof kicking myself now that I didn't!  Smiley

Ahh artificial light: I did photoshop zap it a little to get the colours closer to true.

but as luck would have it the sun came out for just long enough to take this:

Stupid winter lack-of-sun.  Angry

Zombie_Queen: Kraken looks fun  Cheesy I really like the subtle purples and purple-greys in there.  I do admit to having a soft spot for famous couples though. It reminds me of something but i'm not too sure what.... :S
