Pattu Paavadai & Top is traditional garment for kids in India. Every little girl flaunts hers with elan during festivites, weddings and other traditional rituals.

Here is the latest addition to my DD's Paavdai Collection

Made a potli bag using leftover fabric. Accessories do make a statement, don't they

gorgeous!  i love the clothing you post.  do you work off patterns at all or is this all self drafted?  i ask because i have a friend who has been looking for traditional Indian clothing for her 2.5 year old daughter.  she can't find any affordable outfits here in Oregon.  i sew but i have no idea where to start.  I'd love to surprise her one day.

Thanks for the encouraging comments.

Skirt & Top are both self drafted, will try to do a tutorial some time and surely share the same. Since Navarathri is coming up i have a kind of tight schedule with 9 dresses to sew for my DD and 2-3 for me & my sis. Will post it sometime by end of next month
