I have been experimenting with hats lately and came up with a matching pair of deerstalker hats - both made on the round, I used chunky (worsted) yarn for the adult hat, which made up super quick, and for the baby one, a softer finer yarn using small hook. The ear flaps can be tied on the top, or down and under your chin for extra cosiness!  I made a button hole and added a vintage looking button for the brim.  Now the question is -am I brave enough to wear it walking down for the school run??

I think I need to make these!  They're wonderful!  My brother in law is so hard to get gifts for.  I think this might be the perfect Christmas gift.  Off to check out your blog!  Great hats!  Grin
