Lovely!  I'm curious, what part of India do Angrakhas come from?  I ask because I mentioned it to my husband (he's from India) and he wasn't familiar with the term.  Of course...he's not exactly an expert on ladies fashion! :-)

Beautiful! And thanks for the tute- will have to dig out my kameez patterns now! (Where I'm at, salwaar kameez outfits didn't go over very well- but the angrakha just might be a winner! Wink ) Rocks!

First of all, I, too, "ROCK"ed this. This is truly beautiful. I love the lines of the garment, and the fabric is gorgeous.

I ADORE ethnic clothing, be it from my own heritage or something more exotic.  (I'm British / Scottish / Irish, and we don't wear much tweed in Florida!) But I've been afraid to wear something TOO ethnic, for fear of offending. (I was given a kente cloth scarf by a good friend, and then scolded by a coworker for "stealing" another's heritage.)  Now, I'm with leopardstripes on this one -- I'd like to wear this.

How rude!  Just because you want to wear something doesn't mean you are "stealing" heritage.  People annoy me. :-/
