First, let me start by saying that I have been away from Craftster for far too long.  It's good to be back.  Life just got a little crazy and I wasn't able to frequent the forums as much as I would have liked.

Okay, second, I was looking through the book Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet while I was at work and my co-worker/friend absolutely needed to have the PDQ hat that is in the book.  So we went to AC Moore and picked out a trifecta of beautiful colors and I got to working on it ASAP.  Well, I got 3/4 of the way done and the shape was more of a beret than a hat.  I frogged the whole thing and started over.  I modified the pattern a little bit.  For example, I only did 10 dc in a magic circle to start it.  I also added 3 extra rows because it wasn't working out to be long enough.  Oh!  And the pom pom on top is an extra feature.  In the end I think it turned out pretty awesomely:

How ironic is this! I was just looking at this hat in my Happy Hooker book and thinking "Hmmm." Now that I see how awesome that it turns out I am going to dive in! Thanks for sharing!
