Wow, your bookmark is gorgeous.  My great aunt tried to teach me how to tat last summer but I was too busy honing my crocheting skills and learning to knit to give the tatting much attention.  My cousin just made a beautiful tablerunner edged in tatted lace and eventually I'd like to try to make one too.  Thanks so much for all the sites and info, now I'll be able to give it another try!

Wow! What a lovely bookmark!

I've been tatting for about 7-8 years now, and I find there's still a lot to learn.

Congratulations, and happy tatting.

Thats lovely.

I learnt to tat with a shuttle just after Christmas as well. I've only done a couple of snowflakes so far but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm not so comfortable at chains where you reverse the work.

I found some beautiful variegated perle cotton the other day that I wnat to try out. I've also found so great 1960's tatting books on Ebay.
