One of my coworkers is getting married last year and was perusing a wedding site when she saw a hair ornament that she wanted.  She showed me and I figured I could replicate it to some extent and this was what I came up with.  They are made with organza cut into graduated flower shapes, with the edges sealed with a heat tool, freshwater pearls sewn in the centre.  A base was made of felt, with a hair clip sewn on, and feathers mounted on the other side, then the flower mounted on the feathers.

The one she had shown me had guinea hen feathers, but the ones I got weren't the nicest, so I made a couple of versions with other feathers to see what she would like.  These are my top three - and luckily she loved all of them.  I love how it looks like peonies, and may make a bunch more to make a wreath of them.

She wanted the guinea hen feathers, but she ended up liking the first the most.  I think she was thinking about using a couple of them on a dress sash too - maybe for the reception, not sure.  I think I am being invited, so I will have to remember to take pics Cheesy
