I loved this pottery barn edison chandelier but didn't want to blow the $$$ on it so I made my own. It's actually pretty simple to make it to. Now that it's done, we think it looks like something out of the tardis.

I love, love, love it and would love to make one like it. How easy was it to do?

It was super easy to do. Seriously. you buy the sockets from Lowes (or something). You want the kind without a switch. Wire lamp cord (I would use thicker than what i used next time) to the socket innards, repeat x number of time until you have as many light as you want. Then you wire these cords together (split the lamp cord of each cord into the two wires it has and wire them in to two sets). then wire it in to the ceiling. super easy. I'm redoing this one with a thicker cord and I'll totally take pictures.

It is so much easier to wire things than most people think though. seriously.

You say it's easy but I know I would still blow myself up! Looks amazing though, really love it.
