On the dragon's eye....Not a single bit of mica powders or metallic wax for that matter, all clay. What do you think?

New dragonflies I made last week, they demand mica powders lol

Ooooh I love you drangoflies! Is the eye painted or made with clay? Love it, too!

I know what you mean about mica powders! It's sooo tempting to use them as they are so pearly-pretty. Your dragon eye looks great without them. Love the texture differences in the skin. really nice!

Thanks everyone, the dragonflies are always such a hit  Smiley I should say the last one sold earlier today, so all 4 of those are sold, which is good! now off to make more Smiley

Yes, cackle, It is too tempting! I love the mica and they really go with a lot what I make, like the dragonflies, they HAVE to have them, they wouldn't be the same. But I need to learn to work more with colored clay for subltle effects on other things. The powders have been a crutch! I just have to make myself do it.

Len, the eye is a glass gem, I use foils, inks and paint to get the behind effect.
