My fridge needed some de-cluttering from all the letter/number magnets that my kids play with.....this little basket along with a magnetic curtain rod did the trick!

I created a downloadable/printable tutorial which you can get here: http://sewplicity.blogspot.com/2010/09/tutorial-hanging-fabric-basket.html

You can pretty much put these anywhere!  Regular cafe curtain rods allow you to mount these to the wall.  Organize an office, playroom - the possibilities are endless!

Brilliant! I wish now that I had not given away all those letters and numbers. I loved them but hated the messy looking fridge. Too smart!

Thanks ladies!  At least I know I'm not alone in the quest to control the "kid-clutter"!!!!

I have to say this little basket has become a toy itself....take the magnets out, put them back in, take them out, put them in.  Fun!

That was my very first thought - my kid (not quite two) would have a blast doing the take in and out thing, and probably wouldn't even put the magnets on the fridge! Smiley I think I'm gonna have to do this on curtain rods on the wall (genius!) to organize her coloring stuff when (if) I ever get her play space cleaned and organized.
