I received this house from coocoosnest. The front reads:
rockabye baby
in the treetop
on all hallows eve
the terror won't stop
when the bough breaks
and the cradle does fall
run from the baby
run one and all

What is the house made of coocoosnest? It's really light but very sturdy and when I tap on it, it makes a hallow sound. It's very cool material. Thank you!

The funny thing about that clown, it's a sample party invitation that I found in a 1960's book on how to plan themed parties for children. I made the eyes into x and added the eyebrows and stubble. The other house I made also incorporates an invitation from the same book.

So glad you like it Ramona Q. The material is Birch Plywood. I got a 2 x 2 sheet from Lowes. I sawed the shapes out and then sanded the edges. This has been so much fun.  Everyone's houses are amazing.

I received a fantastic chunky house from Knickertwist today, thank you so so much!!  It's very substantial but lightweight, the perfect base.  I'm brand new at chunky houses, I'd love to know what it's made from.  The front features a couple just heading out the door for a night on the town.

The back has an 'official spooky file' tag, I love that!

Here's a photo of my entire town, they look great together!  Thank you again to all of my partners, I'm so happy I joined this swap!   Grin

Hahaha that clown IS totally creepy!  I like that it's a vintage invitation with a little "embellishment".

Also, the Rockabye Baby poem is awesome.

Also also, I don't have enough room in my Oct flickr account to include the backside of szuzu1969's or audio-astrophysics' houses that I sent them.  Maybe you two could post pics of the back?
