I'm always trying new things. This is one of them. I've never been much of a sculptor, but I have some paper clay. I made the head and it sat on my desk for ages. I had lots of ideas for her, but when I started to paint the head she took on her own identity. Meet Madam. She has a mohair wig with a bit of vintage jewelry for adornment. Hand sculpted and painted head with inset clay eyes. Her body and limbs are fabric and the entire pattern was drawn and designed by me.

All of Madam's clothes are removable. Lots of lace and love in her dress.

A shot of the back showing her bustle. Under the white panel on the back of her bodice are hook and eye closures.

She has very dainty feet! I painted on shoes with metallic purple acrylic paint and added a little lace detail.

Under Madam's dress she has a wired hoop petticoat. I used wired ribbon gathered and it stands out perfectly. It is sewn onto a ribbon that is tied around her waist. It gives her dress the perfect fullness.

Under the hoop underskirt are her little knickers. The only part of her costume that is not removable.

I enjoyed trying something new and I'm very pleased with how my experiment came out. Thanks for looking.  Wink

She is so cute!
I love the details like the peplum at her waist, the fabulous petticoat, and her great wig.

I can't be the only one who thinks she bears a striking resemblance to Minnie Driver  Grin
