I made this very summer outfit last week, wish I had gotten it done earlier.  Anyway, the Diva loved it.  The halter, picked up for $1 at a consignment store (I love to find the clearance rejects and give them a new home, it's my hobby, lol) was the inspiration for the outfit -- it came embroidered, just needed a bit more fabric added to cover bare belly.  The pants were simple, just making each tier 1.5X larger than the last one.  The jackets is where I use up my scraps.  I keep a supply of denim jackets on hand for that purpose, all found at thrift stores.  White denim is an especially versatile find -- I get excited when I see one of those!  haha
