There are so many wonderful posts of cloth baby shoes on here.  Each one screamed at me, "you can make these too!!!"  I tried to wait until I finished some other projects that have been stacking up, but I lay awake last night with visions of baby shoes dancing in my head.  I got up this morning and made these.  My 4 year old son asked for a pair, so I will be making him some "slippers" next.

The front and back fabrics are reversed just for fun.  The soles are flannel.  The fabrics are from my scrap bag.  The bows are pink shoe laces left over from another project.  I worked off the "free footie pattern" someone recommended on another post, but made some changes.  You can find the pattern at http://www.poopockets.com/free/footies/footies.htm

so good in every way! Your photo on the plant is fabulous too. Hope your son enjoys his slippers (I think mine might be after some as well - wondering how to make the soles not-too-slippy, though)

You just dot or squiggle designs on the bottoms with a fabric paint pen...ta-da, grippers.
