Ooh -- I love Cabin Fever!  I'd love to see it spun up.

It may be cheating to post mine, since I already posted it as a work-in-progress 2 weeks ago, but here is Tequila Sunrise finished up.  It's a single on the left, and a 2-ply on the right.  They are both one-yard skeins, but you can see how much "sproingier" the single is!  I like seeing the differences in the two yarns.  It was my first time doing a real 2-ply, since I've only plied using thread in the past.

ok, here are my pics:

First a mulberry silk, hand dyed, spun on a top whorl spindle. It was a gift and I really love the colours, it's called Native

Then, as I said, my very first wheel spun. I know, it's totally overspun, but I like it, though.

I'm so excited! I'm practically vibrating with excitement! My new Lendrum DT Complete arrived today!! I didn't even make it up the stairs to my apartment...I sat down at the bottom of the steps, opened it up and put it together. Then I just sat there treadling, lol. When I finally dragged it upstairs I had to spin something so I pulled out a small amount of mill ends from Sheep Shed Studio and went at it. I need practice, lol. When I finished the single I switched out the regular flyer for the plying/jumbo flyer and navajo plied my single, lol. My first wheel spun is definitely thick and thin and bulky (mmm, I love bulky yarn). It's only about 23 yards.
The yarn and the obligatory wheel shot:

Also, here's a single I finished a few weeks ago and never got around to posting. It's a Falkland (from The Fiber Denn on Etsy I think) single, 186 yds, 3.9oz, spun on a CD spindle.

Thanks for the dyeing tips MLF! I will definitely give that a try!

I love the tequila sunrise yarn nikschaf, it's so bright!

morrigan_le_faye I love the "Native" yarn colours!

And WMA I love the colours of the last yarn and congrats on the new wheel!

Here's my contributions for Fibre Friday:

A shot on the spindle. I think this is the second time my spindle has had this much... 2 oz. I believe, from freestyle in the IYP swap

A somewhat blurry shot of how thick and thin it is... I might have rushed but freestyle sent me so much fibre I couldn't wait to get started!

And an awesome closeup I was able to get with my camera. The actual colour is a little less yellow and more green!!

Whatcha think? I will have more for next week for sure thanks to freestyle!

Yeaaaa New Wheel! I love Faulkland wool too. I have 2 bobbins of my unfinished pile or 6 oz of Spunky Ecclectic's F.O.M. Club from August. I ordered an extra helping to get the 6. It is a yummmmm blend of BFL and silk. Colorway Ecclectic Jam. I probably have enough for most of another bobbin. I haven't decided how I want to ply it yet.

I actually have something to contribute to Fiber Friday this week (now that freestyle taught me to spin and fixed my wheel!)....I'll get some pictures tomorrow Smiley

YES!! Pictures!! Woohoo- go Sarah!!

That Freestyle ... she's one of my fiber victims!

Hehehe- so very true. MLF I totally blame you for my fiber addiction! And I love ya for it!  Wink

Slingmomma! Check you out!! That yarn rocks! I can't believe you're a newbie- so consistent! It's beautiful and I can't wait to see what else you make!

Thenutmeg2000- I loooove those colors. Very drool worthy.

Let's see... I've been doing more dyeing than spinning lately. Here are a couple of my faves!
