Sketchbook Project Swap

I received from DanniQuee on Friday, and am just now getting around to posting. Here is a great shot of everything she sent:


Check out her sketches of a magpie and a packrat: perfect for my "I'm a Scavenger" theme! There are also lots of other great scavenged goodies: tickets, old stamps, bits of a map, vintage illustrations and photos from old books and magazines and yearbooks...all sorts of papery goodness!

DanniQuee and I had almost given up on this envelope making it: it took 9 days to get to me, and we live ONE STATE away from each other. I swear, she could have walked it down in less time! In any case, I'm glad it finally showed up because I feel like I'll be able to use lots of it in my book. Now I need to get busy.

Oh what a wonderful package !!! I would be tempted to just hang on to all of that. I am terrible about falling so in love with art supplies that I cant use them. LOL

I used to have a real problem with hanging on to the "good stuff" until I realized that it wasn't doing anyone any good sitting in a drawer or bin. I've gotten better about just jumping in and using it.

Those two packages are amazing!  I'm getting more nervous about my package being ready to go and getting sent after seeing those!

YAY !!! I finally have it all packed up. LOL
My family is over joyed, you should have heard them. I have had every single flat surface in the house covered with paper, stamps, art supplies etc.

We have eaten dinner in the living room ever since this swap started. LOL Ahh to live with an artist. We have a dinning room table only for Holidays. LOL

Both of those packages are great! There is a ton of great stuff in both of them! I really like the pack-rat sketch!

Tero - my husband and I were having that conversation today (him: "I would really like to be able to use the table for things like, oh I don't know... eating?" me: "but that's where my crafts go...." (silence.) me: "oh, alright, I'll move them...") 

Ffrogg - I am very easy to please AND I love anything that comes in the mail (if it isn't a bill), so I can guarantee that I will appreciate anything that you send!

First of all some very beautifully stamped papers:

The little red "coins" are ration tokens from WWII. They were created so retailers could give change for ration tickets. They came in red & blue. The red ones were for purchasing fresh food products. The little blue & white stamps above the "Art Saves" sticker are also rations.

The stamped images are all just ones I have in my stash, not handmade though.

I'm still amazed it made it there already. I just mailed it on Wednesday. That must be a US to Netherlands 1st class mail record!

What fantastic goodies!

Tero - my husband and I were having that conversation today (him: "I would really like to be able to use the table for things like, oh I don't know... eating?" me: "but that's where my crafts go...." (silence.) me: "oh, alright, I'll move them...") 

I seriously thought I was the only one with this problem! It wasn't as much of an issue when I lived by myself - but now that I live with my boyfriend, our dining room crafting table, has become the centerpiece of our small little apartment. Especially during this project. I'm not going to tell him the problem will go away, because clearly, it won't. We'll have to work around it - yesterday he asked me to "part the sea of crafts" so we could also use the table to eat.

LOL, well I will admit this to you guys, I know y'all will keep a secret....I have THREE dinning tables in my house. A kitchen table, a kitchen bar and a dinning room table.





All of them are covered....LOL....I know, I know. I should seek help.
