A friend of mine has been invited to a steampunk themed wedding. She's supposed to dress accordingly. Since I'm one of the few people she knows that enjoys playing with clothing, accessories, crafty stuff, etc. that has the time to help her out, she asked me to... well, help her out.

The thing is, I've never done ANYTHING steampunk!! I think it's flippin' awesome, and would love love LOVE to get into it for myself as well, but am completely clueless as to where to begin. Except that she's got a newsie hat that could really use a pair of goggles...

Would somebody be willing to give me a crash course? Move this to an appropriate area of the board? Anything that will help? I'm lost!

ceemonster: I shall now walk around work all afternoon singing about Kenya because of you. But that's ok, they all think I'm nuts already.
