I'm finally getting around to giving these guys their own post here. These were made in the FOC Wist Swap for my partner Pixieval. The swap was all about crafting something from or inspired by your partner's wists & Pixieval had written in her craftster profile that she would love to have someone craft her a Simpson's Nativity. Inspiration struck & I just had to make it for her!
I could just imagine it even before picking up the materials.
These were sculpted from super sculpey & have tightly crumpled aluminum foil in their middles to make them a little lighter & take less time to bake.
The figures measure around 6-7" tall I think it was...for the adults ...and the kiddos were about 3.5" tall or so.

I made Maggie the baby Jesus because she is the baby of the family & I felt it would've just been kind of wrong (but funny) if Bart were the baby. I'd love to expand on this set & add Krusty, Moe, & a few others as misc. wise men & shepherds.  Cheesy
Here's Bart in progress...before baking:

Behind the scenes...my 5 year old helping with Marge's hair...I forgot about this photo!

The family before painting the colors:

A different view after painting & glittering:

Homer detail:

The family without the distracting background...you can see Santaslittlehelper better against the white background...I just love how he came out!

Top view to show Maggie better:

My husband said, "how come you never make anything like this for me?" ...and he rarely expresses any interest in my crafting...so I took it as a major compliment.  Wink

That is pretty amazing.  I remember seeing that someone had wished for a simpson's nativity.  I don't know if that was your partner, or someone else, but I remember reading it and you fit the bill perfectly.  You're a great sculptor!  I love polymer play, but I've only made  a few figurines (for my mom, she will gladly take the ugly and less appreciated crafts!) cause I'm not so great at sculpting it.  I'm sure there will be a bunch of simpsons fans wisting this, you did a great job!

I don't have a license agreement to sell these, so I'm sorry, but I can't.  Sad I'm wicked flattered you like them though! Thank you for the love! It means the world to me!

Thank you! I'm pretty sure she likes it! She may be keeping it on display all year rather than just for the holidays.  Cheesy

Thank you! You know the hardest part was getting the figures to be the correct scale to one another. Sculpting one was easy, but trying to make another the right size to the first one was tricky.

If anyone want's any tips or suggestions on trying to make one of their own, I'd be glad to help with that.  Smiley
