A couple of years ago, Hubby bought me a Silicone mold with a bunch of little Pi's (I know that apostrophe doesn't belong there, but it looks weird without it.)  In the past, we've only used the mold for making Pi ice cubes for cocktails.  I thought I could use it for something else, but couldn't decide.  Then it came to me!  As many parents do, we have buckets of old, broken, used-up Crayons lying around the house.  I decided to melt them down, as we fellow Craftsters are wont to do. So, after all that, here are some pics:

With the mold:

The backs of the Crayons really looked cool:

More of the backsides.  As you can see, they were difficult to get out, so a few of them broke:

Hope you had fun looking!

I've seen it at http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/kitchen/b61a/

Great idea on the crayons!  I may need to try this someday (I am a teacher and have hundreds of broken crayons in a giant tub...)
